Birdsville is located in the far south west of Queensland and is accessible by both road and air services. Our airport is located just 200metres from the historic Birdsville Hotel and the Birdsville Caravan Park is just 500metres from the airport.

Birdsville has the Historic Birdsville Hotel currently with 19 modern aircondtioned units with an additional 20 on the way.

Testimonial Excerpt: We have just completed a 4WD trip to Alice Springs and across the Simpson Desert to Birdsville. We arrived in B'ville in time for the rain which cut the roads and left us stranded for 5 days. We thought we would be spending our time playing cards, however found ourselves attending several social events for the Qld Governor's visit including dinner at the Community Hall for approx 150 people, graciously sponsored by Diamantina Shire. We all had a wonderful time in Birdsville and came away with warm feeling for the town and the lovely people we met. We will never forget the kindness of the people and the generosity of the council for including us as 'residents' at the dinner. We will be ambassadors for Birdsville forever.
