The seven function and conference rooms of Newcastle City Hall, from the intimate Waratah Room to the grand scale of the 820 seat Concert Hall, offer a flexibility unrivalled by any other event venue in Newcastle. Designed by famed 1920s theatre architect Henry Eli White in his famous 'Spanish Baroque' style, Newcastle City Hall boasts architecture and ambience as dramatic as the performances that have graced the stages of this magnificent building for more than 80 years.

Location

Just two hours' drive from Sydney, 30 minutes from Newcastle Airport and across the road from the light rail stop, Newcastle City Hall is well positioned to meet the needs of clients. Easy access to public transport, street parking and parking stations close by. In addition, Newcastle City Hall is just a short walk from Queens Wharf ferry terminal.

Within five minutes walk of the venue are more than 1000 accommodation rooms, and within ten minutes are the City's major attractions, including beaches, the harbour foreshore, cafes and restaurants.

Newcastle City Hall also manages Fort Scratchley Historic Site, which presents an outstanding off site dinner option for your conference.

Fort Scratchley Historic Site is a unique and spectacular venue situated in a commanding position at the entrance to Newcastle Harbour. Built in the late 1800s to protect the Newcastle coastline, the Fort is rich in military history and offers stunning views of the city, harbour and beaches. Bunker down in the tunnels buried deep into the headland and learn the remarkable significance that this site as to the history of Newcastle.

The onsite Multipurpose Centre with a capacity of 150 guests offers a light filled space with specatuclar views of the the ocean. An attached timber deck provides the perfect outdoor space for pre - dinner drinks.
