Venue Highlights

Located in Sydney's central business district, Karstens Conference and Training venue offers purpose built state of the art training rooms.
Occupying the entire first floor at 111 Harrington Street, our 24 rooms benefit from natural daylight, no pillars and are versatile to host a variety of events from 1:1 meetings up to 180 delegates for a Theater-style presentation. In addition to this, our Computer Training rooms are designed for both software and web-based training.
At Karstens our dedicated conference organizers, IT support staff and operational staff all have a background in hospitality making us experts in delivering a professional, flexible and totally customer -focused service to make your event, whether it be Training or Conference successful.


Located at 111 Harrington Street, Karstens Sydney occupies a landmark location just off George Street, between Circular Quay and the historic Rocks area, perfect for hosting your meeting, event or training session.

The venue is easily accessible by train from Circular Quay or Wynyard Stations and is located in the heart of Sydney's CBD.
We are located opposite the Four Seasons and Shangri-La hotels and occupy a floor in the Quay West building which incorporates the Quay West apartment Suites, An underground car park is located in the building - entrance is via Harrington street, hourly or daily rates apply.


Our location is walking distance from several World Class Hotel options including the Four Seasons and Shangri-La Hotels. We are located in the same building as 5* Quay West Suites - unwind after a hard day of sight seeing on the hotel's recreational deck on level 24 - you will find a stunning sunken Roman style heated swimming pool with spectacular views of Sydney Harbour Bridge as well as a spa, sauna, gymnasium and outdoor sundeck.

Catering Information

We provide fresh, healthy and delicious food with a variety of catering options for your event and offer continuous self-serve Nespresso coffee/Pickwick Teas and biscuits in our comfortable break out areas throughout the day.
From Day Catering Packages to Cocktail and Canape menus, Karstens offers a seasonal rotating menu so you receive a variety of catering options for your event.
Our catering team always caters for vegetarians and can provide other dietary requirements on request.

Recreational Facilities

The venue is located walking distance from the main Bars and Restaurants in the Rocks and Circular Quay area. World reknowned landmarks Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge are also closely located.

Technical Facilities

All karstens rooms are either fitted with a ceiling mounted data projector or LCD screen, both offer VGA and HDMI connections.
All our staff are trained to assist you with setting up any Audio Visual equipment, this can be video conferencing, trouble shooting your laptop connection or setting up a WIFI connection.
All our break out area's offer free WIFI, if you need a fast internet connection for your room karstens offers in Australia 400mbps up and down loads and in Auckland 100mbps up and down loads (cost applies).
Please ask your conference coordinator if you have any special Audio Visual requests, we have a range of AV suppliers who are able to assist.

JHW started using the Karstens facilities for its Consulting Skills Workshops in 2007, and has now moved nearly all of its city based workshops to Karstens. We have found that we have a partnership with Karstens, rather than the transactional nature of other training and conference facilities that we have used in the city.
