In response to the escalation of coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and following the advice issued by the Australian Government banning all ‘non-essential’’ gatherings of more than 500 people, the MEA State and Territory Awards and MEA’s annual flagship event, Evolve 2020 will be postponed until further notice.
Effective immediately, MEA is working with venues to determine potential new dates for each of the State and Territory Awards and for the three-day conference Evolve 2020.
Robyn Johnson, CEO of MEA commented “This decision has not been made lightly but our first priority is the health and safety of all event attendees. These important industry events are postponed and the new dates will be confirmed over the next few weeks. On behalf of the MEA Board and team, we thank all attendees, partners, exhibitors, speakers and suppliers for their patience and understanding of this decision as we work through next steps.”
