Going Further For Cultural Heritage 2020

Tourism growth in Indonesia was recorded as one of the best in the world and among the top 20 fastest growing travel destination which means that the nation’s growth rate is on par with the global standard. Indonesia Tourism has set as the nation’s leading sector, listed in the 2018 government work plan as a priority; Agriculture, Tourism and Fishery. Indonesia is also active to become a global player by exposing untouched natural wealth, cultural arts and traditions to accommodate the new trend of sustainable tourism that become key components for experiencing the culture lifestyle of any destination as well as a motivation for travel around the country. 

From the 6th BBTF 2019 the Minister Tourism Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Ir Arief Yahya mentioned the importance of showcasing what Indonesia’s tourism can offer to the world, place Bali as the benchmark and the gate to Indonesia. Annual Event such as BBTF will give an opportunity to exhibit the new destinations -The government put priority in targeting 4 destinations which are Danau Toba (North Sumatra), Borobudur (Central Java), Mandalika (Lombok Island) and Labuan Bajo (Flores Island) among the 10 New Bali’s tourist destinations that are expected to par with Bali in attracting foreign tourists.

BBTF 2019 is proud to take part in the growth of tourism in Indonesia - this year’s event is supported by the Ministry of Tourism and has attracted more than 232 sellers and 303 buyers from 46 countries, especially West/Eastern Europe increasing from 61 buyers in 2018 to 201 in 2019 and good interest from Middle East, Asean Countries, India, Australia and New Zealand with an estimation of transaction of USD 697,590,000 or IDR 9,06trillion this year.

In line with Indonesia envision, 7th BBTF in 2020 the committee announced the next year theme of “GOING FURTHER FOR CULTURAL HERITAGE”. BBTF is determined to increase the quality of the event by adding several activities that would be beneficial for all the participants of BBTF and will host speakers that address the opportunities, trends by the industry insights as well as highlight the diversity of Indonesia’s cultures.

Renowned as Indonesia’s leading International Travel and Tourism Fair which has been consistently supported by the Ministry of Tourism from its 1st year, BBTF brings sellers and buyers together in a single forum annually. 2020 we are happy to announce the possible co-host from WEST SUMBA.

 This is the 7th year of BBTF – is initiated and organized by The Association of Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies (ASITA) Bali chapter and until now is consider to be one of important Tourism fair in Indonesia - represents the full spectrum of tourism at all levels including the hospitality sector, tour operators or travel agencies, National Tourism Organizations, Convention and Visitors Bureaus, travel technology firms, MICE (meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions) and corporate travel representatives as well as regional’s new destinations. Targeting 260 sellers from 5 countries, 350 Buyers from 50 countries and transaction of USD 815,388,000.

In BBTF 2019, closing press conference DPD Asita Bali Chapter invited the WEST SUMBA Regency as the Co-host, Badung Regency, BPPDTourism Bali. 

Bali and Beyond Travel Fair (BBTF) 2020 will return for the seventh year in June 23rd-27th, 2019 at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC), expecting a qualified market place for buyers from all over the world to meet national as well as international Sellers here in Bali. 

BBTF is Organized by the Bali Chapter of the Indonesian Association of Travel Agents (ASITA-Bali), next  year’s event has adopted the theme of “GOING FURTHER FOR THE CULTURAL HERITAGE" reflecting the desire of the promoted the beauty of Bali, East Indonesia and an invitation to explore, preserve and protect its unique cultures and natural environment. 

The Bali Nusa Dua Convention Centre (BNDCC) remains the venue for BBTF 2020 located within Bali’s world-renowned Nusa Dua Complex operated by the Indonesian Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) on the southernmost tip of the island of Bali. In addition to being home to the BNDCC, the ITDC Complex is home to some 5,000 starred hotel rooms; a wide-range of dining, shopping and entertainment venues; and a championship 18-hole golf-course – all scattered along a pristine white-sand beach.
