Hyatt Regency Perth Announces New General Manager

Hyatt Australia is pleased to announce the appointment of Ribhu Chatterjee as the new General Manager of Hyatt Regency Perth.

Ribhu commences his position on the 16th April, 2019 and brings with him extensive experience managing hotels in Australia and overseas, including over 27 years in General Manager positions at IHG and more recently with Stamford Hotels and Resorts.

Growing up as a child of an army colonel and army doctor, Ribhu lived in different cities across India. He attained a Diploma in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering and Nutrition, Pusa; a Degree in Commerce from the University of Delhi; and a Master's Degree in Hotel Management from the Oberoi Centre of Learning & Development, affiliated with Oberoi Hotels and Resorts.

After graduating, Ribhu commenced his hospitality career at The Oberoi Grand Kolkata before progressing through to F&B management roles. In 1992, he became General Manager for the first time at Holiday Inn Krishna in Hyderabad. Following assignments in Nepal and Malaysia, he joined Stamford Hotels and Resorts in Sydney as General Manager of Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport in 2004.
