Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Sydney supports Christchurch Shooting Victims with their New Zealand Bar Promotion

The Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Sydney is introducing their latest bar promotion at their Fax Bar, with $1 from each item sold being donated to the Christchurch shooting victims in New Zealand.

The hotel’s new ‘Kiwi’ bar promotion features classic flavours and traditional ingredients which are popular in New Zealand. It also includes a selected pairing New Zealand wines to accompany these dishes. This promotion is served daily in the bar between 5:00pm and 10:30pm.

The new menu features New Zealand delicacies such as whitebait fritters, hokey pokey ice cream with kiwi fruit, the notorious ‘fush and chups’, as well as high quality produce such as New Zealand lamb ribs with kumara wedges and Kiwi beef burgers with beetroot relish.

With the timing of this new promotion and the unfortunate occurrence of the Christchurch Shooting victims, it was only right that the hotel was able to contribute and support the Christchurch community affected via the “Give a Little” Victim support fund.

“Give a Little” is an online fundraiser by Spark Foundation, which provides a public domain for those worldwide to set up fundraisers or donate money directly to those affected. All money raised will contribute to providing support and resources, whether that be emergency financial assistance, accommodation, funeral costs, travel or family support.

The hotel has ensured they’ve chosen a select charity, who covers any associated operational costs, ensuring all funds raised at The Fax Bar will be impacting the lives of those in New Zealand. “While we had planned this promotion much earlier in the year, with this unfortunate incident in Christchurch, we are committed to contribute $1 of every item purchased from the promotional menu towards the fundraiser, for the benefit of those affected”, General Manager, Peter Tudehope said.
