Meetings & Events Australia 2017 National Conference Program Launch

Released by Meetings & Events Australia (MEA) on Tuesday, 14 February 2017

MEA Reboot

Meetings & Events Australia (MEA), the peak industry body representing the events industry, has revealed the program for its 2017 National Conference with the theme “Reboot”.

MEA CEO, Robyn JohnsonCEO, Robyn Johnson, said: “The conference program has been developed over months of consultation and meetings with the MEA membership and the broader events industry. The aim has been to deliver a program that reflected the Reboot theme which symbolises the new direction our organisation is taking in order to better serve the membership and the events sector. It also reflects the redevelopment of the Sydney Convention Centre and the Darling Harbour precinct as one of the country’s top events precincts.

The MEA Reboot Conference aims to deliver delegates the latest in event trends and to provide a platform for new product announcements and updates. This year’s conference will have a new approach, with a major focus on four disciplines –
business, professional development, industry trends and operations.

A number of our key plenary sessions will be presented by international speakers. One certain highlight will be a session presented by Catherine Simmons, Vice President, Dreamforce. Catherine oversees the management of the huge Salesforce corporate event held in San Francisco each year. This event is one of the largest technology conferences in the world, drawing more than 170,000 registered attendees in 2016.

There are more than 24 sessions plus six “hands on” workshops designed to upgrade or introduce new skills to delegates.
