"venue or service enquiry"
means information collected from a person or organization making an enquiry about
the services offered by the venues or services, consisting of at least one of the
number of guests

"Lead" means information collected from a person or organization making a particular
venue or service enquiry and consisting of at least one of the following:
"venue or service details"
means information you supply concerning your venue or service and consists of at
least the following:
venue or service name
venue or service location
venue or service billing address and email address
venue or service email address for enquiries and leads information to be sent to
EventConnect websites means all domains used by EventConnect for the purpose of
providing electronic search capabilities.
2. Your Listing
2.1 EventConnect may, at its sole discretion, list your venue or service details
on its website or in any database or directory EventConnect may from time to time
publish or be affiliated with.
2.2 You covenant with EventConnect that the venue or service details you provide
are accurate and current and that you will update your listing details directly
by signing in and editing your listing details or you will notify EventConnect in
writing of any changes to your venue or service details.
2.3 You acknowledge that customers of EventConnect and visitors to EventConnect"s
website will rely upon and use your venue or service details to make decisions and
you indemnify EventConnect or its assigns, transferees or successors in title against
any claim, suit, loss or damage arising from or in any way being caused by any inaccuracy,
or misrepresentation in the venue or service details you provide or arising because
you failed to notify EventConnect of any update or change to your venue or service
2.4 You consent to EventConnect publishing your venue or service details on its
website and making your venue or service details available to visitors to the website
and customers of EventConnect for comparison with the venue or service details of
your competitors or other venue or service operators.
2.5 EventConnect reserves the right to edit the, regions serviced, location and
listing categories to maintain the integrity of the website.
3. The Service
3.1 After receiving a venue or service enquiry via the website, you must respond
via the website with a short response to the client within 24 hours (during the
working week) otherwise the client will be notified that you were unable to respond
within the timeframe and the enquiry may be withdrawn.
3.2 Should you pursue a lead, you become immediately liable to respond by either
electing to provide a quotation or additional information about your service to
the enquirer or by directly contacting the enquirer. This must be actioned within
the elected timeframe indicated in the enquiry or within three business days whichever
4.1 You acknowledge that the information supplied to you by EventConnect in venue
enquiries and leads or otherwise may contain personal information protected by the
Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) ("the Act"). You covenant with EventConnect that you will
observe the provisions of the Act with respect to any information supplied to you
4.2 You indemnify EventConnect against and claim, suit, loss, damage or costs it
may suffer as a result of any misuse by you or your agents or employees of information
supplied to you by EventConnect.
4.3 Upon receipt by us of your election to purchase a lead, we will provide you
with the client contact details. You will only respond to the client with a direct
relation to their specific enquiry and will not contact for any other purpose.
5.1 The fee schedule and package content may be changed from time to time and will
be made available within the website or by request.
5.2 Unless otherwise agreed all packages cover a twelve month period from the day
payment is received. There are no hidden costs associated with an annual venue or
service listing. There is nothing else to pay for the duration of the listing
period unless you wish to upgrade your listing with any feature offered by EventConnect.
The upgrade cost will be pro-rated over the remaining period of your annual listing.
6. Refunds and cancellations
6.1 There are no refunds on annual venue or service listings.
6.2 All cancellations and requests for removal of listings from the site must be
made in writing to The Manager, EventConnect, Po Box R147, Royal Exchange, NSW 1225.
Allow up to 28 days for the removal to be actioned.
