Preferred Supplier Awards 2010

Preferred Supplier AwardThe inaugural EventConnect.com 'preferred supplier awards' have been developed to recognise the venues and services listed within the site who have gained the most 'votes' from buyers that use the site and 'tag' their preferred suppliers. Approximately 3000 votes were cast to 853 venues and services across the Asia Pacific region in 2010.

Managing Director Steve Coombes said "we are thrilled with the initial response to the awards campaign and the take up of the preferred supplier tagging functionality. The campaign has created greater awareness of the advanced features which enables multiple users within an organisation to collaborate, create personal notes and share this information within their group"

There are currently four major search regions; Asia, Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands within which there are two categories; venues and services. Awards will be presented to the winner for each category within the four regions and the most preferred venue and service across all regions will each claim an AUD$5000 online marketing campaign within EventConnect.com and the title as Most Preferred Venue and Most Preferred Service.

The award winners will be announced and presented at AIME (the premier event in the Southern Hemisphere for the meetings, incentive, convention and exhibition industries) on 15-16 February 2011.
