Vue Grand Hotel recognised as a top Wedding venue in Victoria

The iconic Vue Grand in Queenscliff was recently recognised as one of Victoria's premier Wedding Venues at the recent Australian Bridal Industry Academy Awards.

The Vue Grand was a finalist in three categories; Function Coordinator, Hotel Reception and Ceremony Venue, coming runner up in the Best Function Coordinator category with 99.37%, and runner up in the Best Hotel Reception category with 97.10%.

The Australian Bridal Industry Academy (ABIA) was founded in 1997 and was designed to distinguish quality wedding suppliers who have been ranked, rated and evaluated by past brides.

This years awards attracted over 6,000 past brides who were invited to rate their best wedding suppliers based on the quality of product, quality of service, value for money and attitude of staff. A total of 303 suppliers across 37 different wedding categories qualified for the ABIA Awards. To qualify for the awards, the supplier must receive a rating of over 95% from their past brides.

"It's great to be recognized for the personal service we offer and to be the only venue from Greater Geelong up against all these Melbourne venues", says Wedding, Conference & Events Manager Connie Trathen.

"We also try to offer flexibility to suit any occasion that will make the bride and groom's day perfect. We enjoy making the couples day as special as we can, and it's nice to receive this kind of thanks."

Other award finalists from the Geelong region included Beachside Blooms in Ocean Grove, Poppies Florist in Bannockburn, Blush Makeup Artistry and Photography by Riccardo both of Geelong.

"Each wedding is unique," explains Connie, "from couples organizing their entire wedding day whilst living overseas, to grooms-ladies or the groom doing an Irish dance performance for his guests. We even had a couple on their honeymoon in South America recommended us to someone they met, in turn that couple also ended up celebrating their wedding with us.

The Vue Grand will be also releasing their new website in upcoming months and will have a section dedicated to real brides and their stories.

Hosting between 30 and 40 weddings each year, mostly from August through to April, the Vue Grand has only one more wedding before this wedding 'season' is over.
