Zeta Summer Tiki Bar

Released by Hilton Sydney on Wednesday, 9 March 2011

ZETA BAR AT HILTON SYDNEY SAYS ‘ALOHA’ THIS SUMMER!

Zeta Bar sizzles late into summer with Tiki Cocktails, Snow Cones and Hula Girls!

SYDNEY, Australia (February 2010) - Hilton Sydney’s Zeta Bar is extending the summer with the launch of an exciting new Tiki concept, set to keep the city celebrating everyone’s favourite time of year for months to come.

Every Friday evening until Easter, Zeta Bar will play host to a tropical paradise alive with hula girls, limbo dancers and a bamboo Tiki bar. The rooftop terrace bar on George Street will be transformed into an oasis providing city-dwellers and guests with a welcome escape from the steamy city below.

Bar staff sporting dazzling Hawaiian shirts and straw fedoras will be creating summer cocktails at the outdoor bar while live entertainment and Polynesian music help set the scene.  Refreshing Mojitos made with fresh pressed sugarcane, Pina Coladas and Zeta Mai Tais served in pineapples and coconut shells will be on the menu.

Renowned for its playful drinks menu and exciting concepts, Zeta will also be bringing back its much loved Cryogenic Sorbet and Cocktail Bar by popular demand.  The 1950s ice-cream parlour bar will be serving up classic Pina Colada Nitro Puffs and Zeta’s latest selection of deconstructed sorbets to tempt guests on a hot and sticky summer night.  Flavours for 2011 include Dark and Stormy, Zombie and of course Mai Tai.

The inspiration behind the new concept is to provide a fun and refreshing escape on the rooftop terrace at Zeta late into the summer.  Zeta Mixologist and bar consultant, Grant Collins, said, “To help Sydney-siders keep that summer feeling well into March and April, we wanted to create a tropical paradise that offers guests complete escapism in the heart of the city.  We’ll be serving up Tiki inspired cocktails, deconstructed sorbets and even a range of fun ‘alcho-snow cones’.
