Expo Direct named Best Supplier – Services & Products at EEAA 2017 Awards for Excellence

Expo Direct has been named Best Supplier – Services or Products at the Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia’s (EEAA) 25th annual Awards for Excellence which honours the industry’s highest achieving shows, venues, suppliers, teams and individuals.

17 trophies were awarded on the night and nine commendations to category runners-up.

EEAA Chief Executive, Joyce DiMascio, said it was an important achievement for Expo Direct to be recognised for this prestigious honour.

“Expo Direct believes the formula for success is to have a holistic approach to exceeding customer expectation and this can be achieved through a big focus on training. Expo Direct has introduced some innovations including the Xinata Board, an LED Lighting system, the “Communicate Package” and now the “Silent Conference System” She said.

“The judges remarked that the submission stood out due to the clear commitment to innovation and continuous improvement with the aim of improving and growing the business for customers and staff. They embrace and leverage emerging technologies to benefit their clients and the organisation.”

Chair of Judges, John Trevillian AM, said the quality of entries was once again very high and the judging was the closest it has been to date. He said this is a testament to the success, vitality and excellence of the sector here in Australasia.

“The quality of the entries was once again very high – 39 independent judges were involved and in some categories the submissions were reviewed a second time by a new set of judges as the scores were so close.” Mr Trevillian said.

“I believe in competitive awards judged by industry peers and so I commend this awards program to you. I encourage you to continue to put your best achievements and people forward by entering these awards.”

There were 64 finalists and nominees and the entries put the spotlight on the outstanding achievements of our industry colleagues.

The special 25th anniversary gala event was hosted by comedian Colin Lane and held in the Touring Hall of Melbourne Museum last week.
