Venue Highlights
The Christchurch Town for Performing Arts is an iconic landmark and host to a diverse mix of cultural, artistic and gala events. The Town Hall is connected by air bridge to the Christchurch Convention Centre. The 2,500 seat Auditorium is a large oval-shaped theatre with a comfortable configurable tiered seating system allowing various room plan arrangements and designs. It is a popular venue for larger plenary sessions and a dynamic setting for themed gala dinners. Other facilities include a theatre with proscenium arch seating 1,000 guests and various function and meeting rooms of various sizes.

Located in the heart of the city, poised on the banks of the picturesque Avon River, the Christchurch Town Hall is linked by an air bridge to both the Convention Centre and one of Christchurch's largest hotels.
It is within easy walking distance of the city's other major hotels as well as restaurants, bars and shops.

Technical Facilities
The Auditorium is a large oval-shaped theatre with a configurable tiered seating system allowing various room plan arrangements and designs. It also boasts acoustics that are considered to be amongst the best in the world. It features a Rieger Pipe Organ, which is both visually and aurally striking. The organ provides a dramatic backdrop for live performances and themed events alike.
The James Hay Theatre has a fully equipped fly tower, making it a flexible venue for productions and presentations that need a quick change of scene for creative impact.
