Worlds apart from an everyday resort experience The Elandra Mission Beach offers just 52 rooms carefully nestled in amongst the rainforest overlooking the Coral Sea, Dunk & Bedarra Island. With dream swimming pool, tennis court, contemporary restaurant, cocktail bar, chill out lounges, private dining and conference facilities, the scene is set for your unique event, conference, meeting or incentive group.
Location
we are located approximately half way between cairns and townsville (cairns ~ 1¾ hours, townsville ~ 2½ hours) at the centre of the tropical rainforest and the closest access point to the great barrier reef marine park. the area offers a wide range of tours, walks and activities designed to enhance your experience in paradise. whether
you wish to relax and take it easy or if adrenalin pumping activities are more your style, were waiting to show you the treasures and magic that our fabulous destination has to offer.
Accommodation
all rooms contain either a queen bed or split king configuration, air conditioning, television and austar, dvd player, minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, clothes iron, hairdryer, std/idd phone, shower/bath and toilet.
queen rooms are an open plan hotel style, and are classified as our standard accommodation rooms. a selection of these rooms have a balcony overlooking dunk island, and the coral sea.
queen suites are approx twice the size of the queen rooms, with a large ensuite, dining suite and large patio with rainforest views.
King Suites also available.

Our menu's cater for all dietary requirements and our standard delegate conference package can be amended to better suit your requirements on the day.
Recreational Facilities
Mission Beach has an extensive range of tours and activities in and around the immediate area, from Diving on The Great Barrier Reef to a rainforest walk that will leave you revived and refreshed. All tour companies offer transfers to and from the resort as part of their service, and The Horizon is also part of the local bus route.
Whilst there are many things to do in Mission Beach your guests will not feel pressured to do anything. Doing nothing is sometimes just as good!
