Location
Conveniently located in the heart of Mackay's entertainment, shopping and central business district, the Mackay Grande Suites is a 10 minute taxi ride from Mackay Airport and just 5 minutes off the Bruce Highway (Nebo Road). The hotel is a 3 minute walk to the Mackay Entertainment Centre, Artspace, Mackay Courthouse, the Pioneer River Boardwalk, major banks and government offices and a host of boutique shops.
Accommodation
Our 80 stylishly appointed King Suites and 10 Studio rooms are equipped with all the mod cons for your office and home away from home. High-speed internet, voice-mail, cable television and movies on demand, fully equpped kitchen and laundry are some of the facilities on offer to make your stay as comfortable and productive as possible.
Windows that open and a Juliet balcony off each room means you're not 'hermetically sealed' in your room and offers you the choice to enjoy either the individually-controlled air conditioning, or Mackay's fresh breezes and balmy temperatures.
Most rooms offer city views and from higher floors, you can admire the Pioneer River (one of only two blue-water rivers in Queensland) and twinkling lights of Mackay's fast-changing skyline.
Catering Information
Our creative catering team and well equipped kitchens enables us to tailor function menus to suit your budget or theme but you'll probably find the menus we've pre-designed offer great value and choice.
Additionally, the hotel has a themed restaurant offering Mexican fare, and a second a la carte restaurant which serves buffet breakfasts and a la carte and buffet lunches to cater for busy executives. In the evenings, the restaurant reverts to an a la carte menu specialising in steaks.
Of course, 24 hour room service is available should guests prefer dining in the privacy of their own suite or studio.
Recreational Facilities
If you're an in-house guest, make use of our indoor pool and gym to maintain your fitness (or to burn off some calories from the delicious meals and desserts partaken during your stay with us!)
For those wanting to take on Lady Luck, our air-conditioned Gaming Lounge is located on the ground floor.

Business Centre services are complemented by our Boardroom which is equipped with high-speed internet, plasma screen and conference-call phones.
You can hold small, private meetings in the Boardroom for up to 8 people, or use it as a conference secretariat.
